TP1 stairs platform and Harmony waste bin: iF Design Award 2018 for Hailo
Twofold success: Hailo is a double winner of the world-renowned iF Design Award 2018 - for the TP1 stairs platform and the Harmony range of waste bins.
The iF Design Award has been one of the world's most prestigious design competitions since 1953. The award is conferred annually by iF International Forum Design, an independent institution. The 63-strong expert jury selected the winners from 6,400 entries from 54 countries according to clearly structured criteria. Hailo received the coveted Seal of Approval in the "Product" discipline, "Household/Tableware" category.
One of the current Hailo award winners is a genuine world first: the TP1 stairs platform is used on stair treads to form a stable base for folding steps and stepladders with up to four steps. Telescopic rails allow for flexible adjustment - even on staircases with turns.
Harmony proves that waste bins are increasingly becoming design objects. Hailo combines more visual appeal with a high level of practicality in the new range; an innovative detail is the Soft Close cushioned closing mechanism.
For Hailo, the iF award is confirmation of its high level of design expertise. The company has turned in an impressive performance in all the leading design awards in recent years. The success story continues in 2018 with the iF Design Award for TP 1 and Harmony.
